Shy but curious creatures. They came to the pond to harvest the frogs and were only there for a few days. I suspect they came from Lough Money. The one other time was in a drainage ditch on the Conagher Road just outside Ballymoney.Lula Bellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14352534572023254252noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20008671.post-67205124932228488172007-03-01T18:18:00.000+00:002007-03-01T18:18:00.000+00:00Regretfully, I've never seen an otter in real life...Regretfully, I've never seen an otter in real life, but would really love to see one. They were getting rare, but numbers have increased in recent years due to concerted conservation efforts.<BR/>I've seen quite a few foxes in the area I live in though. There was one in the back garden early one morning a few weeks ago.CWhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01352092020697710430noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20008671.post-79144886422140191432007-03-01T16:40:00.000+00:002007-03-01T16:40:00.000+00:00I cant say I've noticed any frogs at it in the mid...I cant say I've noticed any frogs at it in the middle of the road. Maybe they aren't as 'horny' as toads. A farm I lived on a few years ago had a large pond where the frogs attracted a variety of wildlife from grey heron to otters. They must have been pretty tasty.I'm still sorry I moved out of that one.Lula Bellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14352534572023254252noreply@blogger.com
