Reign of rain

With the worst drought for 100 years forecast to dry up South-East England and the water table apparently at an all time low, I'm actually quite glad to see some rain! The last 3 days in London have been damp, albeit with mostly light drizzle rather than torrential downpours. It had hardly rained at all since the beginning of 2006, so long may the rain reign! Just as long as it's not every day and not too heavy and doesn't last into the summer, by which time the water table will hopefully have got back to normal. In other words, I just hope the rain doesn't have free rein to reign...
