It's been a cold wet miserable bastard of a day. I don't mind the rain so much as it's badly needed, but why does it have to be so feckin' cold and windy half-way through April? You'd think it was the middle of winter. It's as if spring never happened.
Anyway, moving swiftly on..Inspired by the events of last week I borrowed a CD of Ultravox's greatest hits from the local library. Very helpfully it has sleeve notes with supposedly witty and sometimes cryptic anecdotes about each song. For "Dancing with tears in my eyes", the song which going through my head this time last week the story is an interesting one. I quote:
"What would you do if you knew you only had a few minutes left to live? Be with those you love? Dance to your favourite song?"
So that's what it was about! Now that's the mysteries surrounding Vienna and "DWTIME" solved, I can sleep easily at night. The only problem is that frigging song (or more precisely the chorus bit "weeping for the memory") is going through my head again...

"Weeping for the memory of a life gone by..."

Be thankful it isn't the Crazy Frog going through your head... although I'm not sure which is worse!
Crazy Frog is more irritating, but it has a much deeper philosophical meaning with regard to the mysteries of life and the harmonious balance of the universe.
